Olivetti Lettera 32

Olivetti Lettera 32
Made in Italy (1963)
Excellent condition, cleaned and fully-functional with new ribbon. Finished in custom blue. Designed by Italian architect-designer Marcello Nizzoli (with engineering by Adriano Menicanti and Natale Cappellaro), the Lettera 32 is the iconic successor to the famous Lettera 22. Measuring about 34 × 35 × 10 cm and weighing approximately 5.9 kg, it offered genuine portability by the standards of its day. With its sleek aluminium body, refined mechanical construction, and practical features like a two-colour ribbon selector (black/red/no ink), automatic ribbon reverse, folding carriage-return lever, and travel-case carriage-lock, the Lettera 32 blended style with serious functionality. Manufactured in Italy (Ivrea), and also in plants abroad (Spain, Mexico, Yugoslavia) in later years, the Lettera 32 became hugely popular among journalists, writers and students across the globe. Thanks to its design, reliability and enduring aesthetic, the Lettera 32 remains one of the most celebrated portable typewriters of the 20th century — well-suited for creatives, collectors and daily typists alike. Whether you're writing letters, working on creative projects, or looking for a unique gift, the Lettera 32 delivers both form and function.
